Office of Clinical and Community Affairs Mission
This mission of the Office of Clinical and Community Affairs is to facilitate and coordinate the expansion and enhancement of faculty practice opportunities, clinical education for students in all programs, development and delivery of professional development and continuing education programs for nurses and students, and the establishment of an information technology infrastructure to support core functions of the school. This unit provides administrative oversight for the practice mission of the school and collaborates with the Office of Academic Affairs for those programs that intersect both practice and education missions.

Arapahoe County Detention Center is a jail in eastern Arapahoe County. The College of Nursing contracts with Correctional Healthcare Management to provide primary care for female inmates.

Baker School Based Health Center is a collaborative effort of Community Health Services of Commerce City and the College of Nursing. The clinic is located adjacent to Baker Elementary School and provides care to children. The school-based health center provides primary health care services to preschool through high school students including physical assessments, immunizations, minor acute care, management of stable chronic disease conditions, and referrals for complete emergent care. Mental health counseling and support groups are also available through an on-site social worker.

Carin' Clinic is a collaborative partnership with Jeffco Schools, City of Arvada, Lutheran Medical Center, and the Metropolitan Community Provider Network. It has been in operation since 1993, and provides care to children with minor acute illnesses, and sports-related injury care. Well-child care is available by appointment. Services are available four hours per day for three days per week. Health promotion services are provided through a school-linked program funded by a Community Block Grant and the Arvada City Council. Mental health services are funded by a grant through Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment . Approximately 95% of the children served are either uninsured or participate in the Medicaid programs.

The center provides primary health care services to persons of all ages, including physical assessments, immunizations, minor acute care, management of stable chronic disease conditions, prenatal care, and referrals for complex and emergent care. Mental health counseling and support groups are also available through an on-site behavioral health specialist.

University Nurse Midwives offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient midwifery services to women of all ages. The faculty practice is located at the Anschutz Medical Campus. The practice primarily serves the economically disadvantaged population of Colorado through an exchange of service agreement that facilitates provision of prenatal care at the MCPN Hoffman Heights Clinic and delivery of those patients at the Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion. Evening hours are offered Mondays and Thursdays.
