Bachelor of Science Work Site Program
The University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) is offering a unique opportunity to obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing, in conjunction with UCDHSC College of Nursing (CON).
Start Term = Every Spring Semester - Beginning Spring 2009
- The College of Nursing part of the BS Worksite program will begin every Spring semester, beginning Spring 2009.
- There will be no Fall 2008 start date.

Two Step Process for the University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) BS Worksite Program:

- College of Nursing requirements: There are also 2 major steps in the CON application process:
- Pre-Review to determine if an applicant meets our prerequisite and GPA requirements; AND,
- Submission of application which will be mailed to those that have met for UCH and CON requirements as determined by the Pre-Review. Prerequisites can be taken at only regionally accredited colleges or universities.
Note: Each of the above steps has their individual application processes and deadlines. It is the responsibility of the applicant to insure that all these deadlines are met.
Important Policies to Remember: (for the CON portion of the UCH BS Work Site program)
- 10 Year Time Limit on Prerequisites/Electives. Prerequisites (and electives for applicants without a bachelor's degree) must be no older than 10 years by pre-review deadline of April 1. Courses that are over 10 years old by the deadline are not transferable and therefore must be repeated.
- Overall GPA of 3.00 or better by September 1.
- Bachelor's degrees must on a transcript by May 31 to be eligible tro to take only 4 prerequisites. Check BS Worksite Info Box for more information.
- TOEFL Test Required for All Applicants with a Primary Language other than English (including US citizens). The TOEFL test is required for U.S. citizens, US permanent residents, international students, and all other applicants who do not speak English fluently. - Firm Deadlines: All parts of the Pre-Review and Application processes must be in the College of Nursing office by the deadline.
Applicant Responsibility: It is the responsibility of the applicant to plan ahead to ensure that all parts of the application arrive at the College of Nursing by the appropriate deadlines.

CON to mail application materials and instructions to those deemed eligible to apply during the Pre-review Process. On-line application is not available for this program |

September 1 |
Official transcripts for the final Spring and Summer semesters and TOEFL scores (if needed) due in the CON office |
First week, October |
UCDHSC College of Nursing to mail out admission decision letters |

Official Transcript for final Fall grades, if admitted |
If any deadline falls on a weekend or a holiday, the deadline is automatically extended to the next working day.
